I’m Lynette. I have lived in the world of children’s literature as a kid, a mom, a teacher and now an author. I draw inspiration from life – mine and others. I have always known truth is stranger than fiction and the best stories worth telling are usually true. I love to use rhyme and song in the classroom and in my writing. I hope my readers can make a special connection to my stories. We are all part of the human experience – and that’s what stories are after all – how we connect.

When I’m not reading picture books, I am consumed with historic fiction or classics. My favorite subject to teach my kindergarteners? Writing, of course!
